…before and after….the haircut………..

I had just pulled down his grooming basket and Boucle knew what was next.  So he quietly went to the top of the stairs.  Perhaps I wouldn’t notice him….

But indeed I did find him and asked him to go into the other room, and he slowly did, bit by bit, step by slow step….but all on his own power.  You would think he was going to be torchured.  He then sniffed the shaver…..yes Boucle – it is going to happen……….

Once the haircut gets started, his energy comes back and he willingly stretches out a leg, or arm and is so good .  What a patient Boucle.

All Done!!!
Sweetie-pie is all happiness and energy.  Its over and he is very proud of himself, he got through it again.

Such a good sweetie-pie……….:)

…sweetie-pie …today at lunch……

One of his favorite things to do,  is sit outside at lunch hour under the umbrella and Maple, during a warm sunny afternoon. He loves it so much and is so smart, that when it is sunny, if I don’t  go out at lunch hour, he will come and get me.  And of course, I cannot resist sweetie-pie:)

…did I do good Jane?………..yes sweetie-pie, such a gooood dog……….xoxo

Boucle…you were so so good….!

We had just finished our walk, and I had removed his leash so he could wander around the front garden  and tulips, when out of the corner of my eye I spotted – the black c.a.t.!  The c.a.t. then spotted me!  Then Boucle spotted the c.a.t! Not even a second later, Boucle was offleash bolting towards the black c.a.t. (can’t say the word because Boucle starts looking for it and get all excited). I had visions of a terrible fight, because the c.a.t. is fierce.  And I had visions of Boucle dashing into the street.

I yelled, “NO!”

And sweetie-pie just stopped in his tracks.  Looked at me, and sat.  Unbelievable, such a good dog!  Gosh I love my Boucle.  He received lots of praise and pets for that.

The last time he saw a cat he raced so fast towards it, even when I said “NO” “STOP”, he kept going and did not stop.  I was very upset with him that day, for not stopping, he really needs to for safety and also to not get into a fight. I let him know it by being quiet with him for the balance of that day, which was very hard to do as he is so adorable. Throughout that day,  you could see his mind  processing the big event.

And he learned from it… so well, because the very next time I said a big “NO” or a big “STOP” he did.  What a good dog.

So this was a wonderful reward for me today, to see him stop, and relax and look at me to ask if that was the right thing to do.  What a good dog!!

I am so proud of my sweetie-pie:))
