…Boucle learning from Baxter……..

….Boucle was fascinated by Baxter fetching in the water…….
…wanting to learn exactly how it was done……..
…and longing to be the one fetching too…….

Baxter is a 10 year old Lab.  She loved the water since a puppy from day one.
She is a superb fetcher, going out quite a way and then coming back with full energy.

…sweetie-pie would like to do just like Baxter….   🙂

…so excited about fetching sticks out of the water now……that Boucle fetched this stick, which was really meant for Kelly……

…I was throwing the stick over to the other dog, Kelly……..
…and Boucle is so excited about getting sticks out of water……
…that he went for it and brought it back to me…….

…Kelly….looked on from the sidelines…..
…letting Boucle fetch for me…..

…swimming lesson # 2 – Boucle can now swim!……..

…early this morning Boucle and I headed out to the Lake for swimming lesson # 2……..

…it went very well…..
…at first, he was reluctant to go past his underside….
…then I gently held his underside and coaxed him further …….
…then the same thing with a stick dropped a few feet in front of us……..

…and he did it!

…sweetie-pie jumped, lifting his back feet off the ground, to get the stick……
…paddled with all his feet to do a turn……
…paddled with all his feet back…..
…and was safely back on the ground……..

all the while I was at his side, making sure he did not sink…..
..and watching to make sure that all feet were paddling….

so we did this over and over……
and each time he paddled to the stick and back…..
with me by his side…..

Its official…..Boucle can now swim.  🙂

And a happy poodle he is…..

…so big and intimidating….Boucle did not want to get any closer to the moose…..

…sweetie pie is not crazy about the moose…..
…its big…huge..
…and I think Boucle is not sure whether it will move or not…..
…because it looks like an animal…..
…and he doesn’t like to even look at the moose………
…avoids it……..

…but he is still such a good dog……
…despite his uncertainties about the big moose….
…and poses so nicely…..

…beautiful Boucle……and big moose……
