….the indoor chase…..

Yesterday was a typical November day, and aside from walks, Boucle did not have much exciting outdoor time.  Just the occasional squirrel to chase.

So he pulled out a toy from his toy basket, and I was willing to chase him while he had it…..

He has figured out how to keep me away from his toy, while I am chasing him….just slip in between the legs of the diningroom chairs and table, and I will try to coax him out.  He will stubbornly stay, until I get tired and walk away.  But of course, if I am not chasing him…that is no fun.  So he will come out, after I have walked away, and then look at me, with the hope…and expectation that I will play the game again.  🙂

…sweetie-pie enjoying blue skies …..finally!…….

Finally the first peek of a blue sky in what seems like over a month.  Apparently we had 27  out of 31 days of rain in October.  Boucle and I played fetch and enjoyed the first bits of blue.  Hopefully we will see some more blue over the next day.

…Happy Halloween!…….

With all the rain, Boucle’s haircut never got beyond this.  In fact, it was starting to rain again as we took this picture.

Boucle in a Beatle’s haircut, and a skull and crossbones tuxedo.

This is the most that I have every decorated him.  In fact, it is a first, so I chose something in which he would at least look dignified.

Happy Halloween – lots of warmth and licks , Best Jane & Boucle! 🙂

…we love our walks on a rainy fall day……….

Boucle and I are prepared for all kinds of weather.  And since he was a puppy he and I have been going out in the rain for walks (not in big winds or storms).  In fact, Boucle loves it…thinks it is perfectly normal, and quite a treat.

Yesterday was gusty and with a light rain. Boucle had on his sweater and ducky raincoat, and I had my windbreaker, hat and boots.  We both stayed dry quite nicely.  Except for Boucle’s pouf, as you can see, it flopped under the rain, and his tail gets wet, so it looks quite raggedy.  But we had fun.   I love doing going out in the rain, it feels like an adventure, and when we get back inside, we know we had a great fall day.

…checking out the new boots……….

Dog walking in winter with ice, snow, slush, and bitter cold can be off putting.  Delay, delay because there is too much winter outside.  So for me to not mind going for walks with sweetie-pie, I need to be warm, cozy and dry….from head to toe.

These are my new dog walking boots.  Warm and cozy, and dry.  Boots that will make me happy to be out on a cold or snowy winter’s day walking with Boucle.
