The goose just barely made it into the water.

Boucle and I were at the lake this morning…..
….he saw a goose that was on his own and close to the water – and decided to give chase….
….Oh what fun he had……

…Boucle and I visited a lakefront park in Oakville this morning….
…this is a lovely area with a couple of wolf statues. In real life, they are huge, coming up to my waist….
…sweetie-pie used to be afraid to go into the area and would refuse to look at them…
…even after sniffing…..
…he has been here before….so now hardly notices them at all…….

…he loves having me throw sticks……..
…he always races after it at full speed….
…ears flopping up and down…..so excited and happy that he is chasing a stick……..
…but he rarely brings it back….
…he will pick it up….look at me very proudly…….drop it…….
…and then head back to me…..
…thinking that is exactly what he is supposed to do…….
…here sweetie-pie is….proudly racing back to me…..his job is done……

This puppy was just learning to swim. He had been with his person who had him on a leash in the shallow water, and they practiced.
Finally, the person let go of the leash and let the puppy go.
And boy did he go!
Lots of splashing and thunking as he made his way to shore.
One proud puppy person too………

Boucle and I spent a wonderful morning yesterday. We visited The Beachway Beach, Burlington Beach and walked over to the Brant Street Pier in Burlington.
I think it is new because I didn’t notice it the last time I was there a couple of years ago. Visit my blog for a look at the pier.
Sweetie-pie had a wonderful time and was a very happy poodle after so much walking and seeing and sniffing new things.
