He had so much fun yesterday.  First a long walk in the morning.  Then to the lake in the afternoon, followed by a visit to the local fair……

And when he has had an especially fun and happy day on an excursion, at the end of the day he will lay beside me and put his chin on my lap looking up at me with soft happy Boucle eyes…..as he did last night…….

A lot of dogs are bothered by thunder and lightening, but not sweetie-pie.

When I just got him, during the first storm I sat in the kitchen beside him.  Everytime there was lightening or thunder, I would not react, just casually looked about.  And out of the corner of my eye, I could see him looking at me, to see if it would bother me.  Since I didn’t react, I think he learned that he didn’t need to react.  So Boucle is not afraid of storms.  But….the downside is that he is not afraid of storms and he really should be, so that if he were ever on his own in a storm, he would take shelter.  Upsides and downsides……
