Boucle does not enjoy them…doesn’t like them….sticks to the farthest end of the tub, away from my washing hands…….
….is the happiest when it is over……..

What a wonderful winter’s day yesterday. Sunny, warm and lots of fresh snow. So Boucle and I headed out to a ski hill that is right in our city, and only 15 mins away from our house. Sweetie-pie had a wonderful time watching all the skiers, tobogganers, and also going for a long a snowy walk around the hill.

Finally had some sunshine and Boucle knew it. Our week had been filled with storms, first wind and rain storms for days, and then a big snowstorm. Boucle followed me all morning, knowing we would go out in the beautiful sun.
Boucle’s first view arriving at the lake. Look at his happiness….his bouncy joy at seeing the lake 🙂
All for the Beef…..beef beef beef………
Any dog would understand what sweetie-pie is going through….
It is hard waiting…..but it must be done……..
It sure does take a long time for the beef to cook……
Oh those glorious smells……..
Waiting here…..waiting there…….

I pulled the wrapped beef from the fridge.
Immediately Boucle came into the kitchen.
..sniff…sniff…..Beef…….
I unwrapped it . He circled around my back….closer towards the beef…….
…sniff…sniff….Beef…..
Will sweetie-pie get some?
Will all that sniffing be worth it?

Boucle had fun! All the birds, all the dogs……fabulous sniffing…….!

P.S. The beagle was with the same person as the doodle. I suspect the Beagle would sniff his way into spots where he shouldn’t go, and not hear his name as the smells were so intoxicating. While I saw him, he barely lifted his head. Hence one doodle off leash, and one beagle on leash.
and a fellow canine who enjoyed sniffing through the muddy fields….filled with burs. The telltale signs around his nose 🙂
…beautiful Boucle at the Lake on Saturday….what a day!…so much sniffing….so much fun…..fabulous muddy smells…..!
The beginning of the path was covered in shade, and so lots of snow and icy slush made for icky walking. Boucle prefers dry, or packed snow. He’s looking at me as if to say, Heh! You promised me spring and sunshine.
Now, he is getting into the groove of it. There is no more ice and we are getting closer to the water. He sees the sparkles of the Lake and is all excited. Soon, the leash will come off and he can wander and sniff to his hearts content.
