I had grated cheese to make mac and cheese, and Boucle’s nose had surely caught the aroma…
….sweetie-pie waiting for a taste of that glorious cheese……

…sweetie-pie can’t wait to get back to regular excursions by the lake…..
…seeing all the seagulls, and geese…..
…and running around amongst the dandelions…….
Boucle exploring the first few inches of snow. We were hit really hard yesterday and received about 28 cm in my location, which is almost a foot of snow.
…sweetie-pie this morning while I was shooting the gerberas…….
…lounging on the sofa…..only moving the eyes…..
Beautiful Boucle
…sweetie-pie loves a good game of chase….. 🙂

…sweetie-pie……
🙂
Yesterday we were in January thaw mode and I spent time out front chipping away at the 2-3 inches of ice, before it freezes over again.
Sweetie-pie wanted to spend time out front too. But after a few minutes of not doing much, he started to shiver, even with sweaters on. So out came one of his beds, nice and soft and with a thick bottom, and a blanket to help sweetie-pie stay warm.
…sweetie-pie goodness……….
Sweetie-pie experiencing the minus -25C later yesterday morning in the backyard. The head scarf worked very well.
It was so cold for Boucle that in the afternoon, I dressed him up warm and led him to the door and he refused to go outside….too cold….
He has never refused to go outside…..and I am sure it was not because of the silly looking, but warm head scarf. He had it on again later and did go out, as he probably felt he needed to.
Thankfully, the weather will start to improve later today….though it will still be cold……
….beautiful Boucle…….
This morning it was -25C again when we got up.
Last week, when it dipped to -25C and I let Boucle out for his morning wake up call, he had his sweater and coat, but ears were bare. After 3 minutes outside, his ears were icy cold, and a half hour later the tips were very hot.
So….this morning, I gently wrapped sweetie-pie’s head and ears in a make shift woolen head scarf. He had no idea at this point what was happening. He stayed in this position, with this look, tail down, until I coaxed him to move with me towards the back patio doors….poor Boucle. But….once he started moving and realized he was ok….he was happy and completely back to normal….bounding down the stairs and around the backyard.
Three minutes outside…came inside….and his ears were nice and toasty and warm…..
A new experience for sweetie-pie…….. 🙂
