…a fabulous afternoon at the Lake…….

Boucle fully believes that taking advantage of fine weather is one of the best things in a poodle’s day…such as going to the beach and running up and down….as we did yesterday at lunch hour…..

…sweetie-pie happiness……

…sweetie-pie……..loving the afternoon……

…what an incredible autumn afternoon!….

…sweetie-pie spent much of it outside in the front yard, as I completed fall garden chores and washed the windows…….
…he just loved it……seeing all the goings on, meeting all the dogs walking by…….and he especially loves meeting the people……he is a love bug……

…beautiful Boucle……….

…thirsty – on a gorgeous afternoon…….

This makes me so happy.  Happy because Boucle is happy….

and happy that the day was so beautiful, so fine that sweetie-pie had a water bowl out on the deck.  Come cold autumn days……it gets put away until the spring………

But today!…..it was a beautiful day……a day for the  outside bowl of sweetie-pie water…….

…each to their own spot….marital spat……….

Boucle was in the bedroom, looking out of the patio windows.  He started to do slow low growls, the kind when he sees something unusual, but certainly not a C.A.T. or a squirrel as he gets very excited when he sees those.

The slow low growl was going on and on…..so I knew he wanted me to see what he was seeing…….
I went over to him, and looked outside……didn’t see anything……
and then I listened……there was this screeching sound……high pitch…..almost like electric wires sizzling….
I opened the patios….and the sound was very loud…….
I looked up in the direction of the sound…..
And there they were…….two raccoons having a spat over the large tree limb……
Going back and forth at each other……hissing, screeching…..swatting…..
A marital spat for sure………over who would get the best sleeping spot in the tree…..

I turned around and went back inside. Boucle easily followed me.  Now that I had looked at what he found unusual, he didn’t find them interesting anymore.

Half an hour later I went outside and looked up in the tree…..

They had resolved their differences…….
Neither one got the precious sleeping spot……
Each found their own spot…far away from the other….and nowhere near the special sleeping limb….
All was peaceful and content as they snoozed in their new spots…….
