Yesterday, Boucle and I visited the east end of Toronto on the lake, the Scarborough Bluffs for our excursion of the weekend.

And I remembered the first time Boucle and I visited the Bluffs, on a cold December day in 2007, when Boucle was 1.5 years old.  He was so young, and it was the first time I tied him to a pole and walked away (a few feet) to take a pic.  He was afraid I was leaving him…..abandoning him….and he whimpered and cried.

I was really only a few feet away, but he felt is was forever away.

Yesterday, we visited again.  And I thought, as I saw the pole, that I should take a pic again of sweetie-pie.  Then and now.  Now, no whimpering.  Now, no leash needed for him to stay when I say stay.  Such a good dog.

So much happiness in all these years together…….
