…morning at the off leash park – early Sunday morning………..

It was like a dog fest Sunday morning.  All these dogs have had their fun and were off to the parking lot.  We were headed in the other direction, to the open area of the off leash park………

Boucle and I were fascinated by the two standard poodles…beautiful dogs……

…Boucle loves paths….and this is one he would like to follow………

Boucle sees paths or openings and always would like to follow them to find out where they lead…this one was to a private home…so he couldn’t go in.
But he does get to follow many paths on trails, which he loves……..

…looking down the very long pier …….on a beautiful day…….

Part of yesterday’s excursion was this very long pier.  Boucle was curious and wanted to walk to the end of it to see what was there.  We saw small sailboats with children inside learning to sail, making all the laughing and summer sounds.  We saw some geese feeding along the side, and a couple of swans too.  It is a beautiful straight and very wide pier.

(Boucle’s leash is cloned out).

…discovering a new place……looking …up.down,and around……

..looking around………

.. more looking around………

Boucle is one curious poodle.  He just loves going on excursions and finding new places.  This was a little area, part of a waterfront park that we found, and he is checking it out, from all sides, up and down and around……..

….zzzzzzzz….still photographing those shoe boxes……….

This is Boucle after he sniffs and checks out the photograph set up.  I was still photographing the shoe boxes, and he is bored.  There are flashes going off every few seconds and me pointing the camera at the shoe boxes…and quite frankly….sweetie-pie is bored with it by now.  He would much rather be playing with me, which is what he thinks I am doing with my camera, without him.

…oh sweetie-pie….:)

…sweetie-pie – just enjoying the simple life at lunch hour……

Last night I dreamt about lenses all night long!:)

So I did it.  Went out this morning to acquire a 35mm lens.  At the counter asked how much I would get as a trade in for one of my DX lenses that I never use any more.  Quite a sum, so decided to drive all the way back to my place, picked up the lens and then all the way back to Henry’s.  Basically the morning and early afternoon.  But it was so worth it!  I went shopping for a new lens, and didn’t spend a cent on it!  And I love it.  This is a shot of sweetie-pie at lunch. Taken at F3.5, ISO 400, taken in the shade at 1PM, no adjustment in photoshop to exposure or curves. Just a bit of warming up of the colors.  This lens has a very short focusing distance, so I can get really close to sweetie-pie if I want to, using the autofocus.  Though I often manual focus my shots.  Anyhow, I am very pleased with the lens, good images and value, and very affordable.
