….at first…he almost had it…..
…but not quite….
…then……horrors…….it started to float away…..
…what to do…..
…sweetie-pie decided to try and stand on a rock in the water….
…still out of reach…….
..ah ha!….a little wading off the rock…..
…and he has it…..
First time going into the water this summer for Boucle.
If you remember, Boucle is not much of a water dog.
And last year was the first time he put his feet in.
So this was very brave.
….he had a wonderful time going in and out of the water this morning……
…Boucle and I visited Burlington Beach this morning…….
…sweetie-pie on one of the very long piers…..
…in front of the lighthouse……
..three raccoons….their tree home for July……
..in the maple tree in my backyard…
Each year there is at least one that comes and stays for the month of July.
Sometimes, I see babies in the spring.…
This year…three of them…..
…and this morning they were quite noisy…..
…Boucle always lets me know when they arrive…
….we had just arrived at the parking lot for the lake….
….sweetie-pie anxiously looking out the window towards the lake…..
….me pointing the camera into the car to get a pic of sweetie-pie….
…and seeing our reflection……
…sweetie-pie arriving at the lake….
…normally Boucle is not on a leash on this trail, but we had just come across another dog who was on a leash……
…so Boucle was on a leash…
…and then he spotted a bunny…
…before I saw it of course…..
…and I said ‘stop’……
…and sweetie-pie stopped………
…and then he watched it hop away…..
…and just at the moment when the bunny started his hop…….
…Boucle went after him…..
…but of course…
…it was too late…..
…he knew……
…he knew we were going to Burlington Beach……….
…such a smart poodle……..
…he knew the moment I pulled out the backpack….
…his excitement growing…..
…more burbling sounds………
…then sweetie-pie talking…..
…when I pulled out the picnic pack…..
…his talking grew higher….and louder…
…jumping in excitement….
…he loves going to Burlington Beach…….
…he sits in the back seat, in the middle so he can see all around through the car windows…….
…and throughout the car ride his head would go from one side to the other…..looking out the window……
…watching the trucks on the highway go by……
…waiting to get to the beach…..
…and here he is……..
…happiness on the beach……
…as good a time as he had hoped it would be…….
…beautiful Boucle………..
…Boucle the explorer…..
…so sweetie-pie and I had the fun filled morning at the lake, with Boucle running up and down the beach with the stick….
…later that day…we headed out to a local street festival…..
…but found it wasn’t much….
…so I turned the car around and went back to the lake……..a different waterfront park…..
…and we did a nice walk…..
…sweetie-pie in front of the Toronto skyline…..
…he was completely tuckered out from such a big day….
…happiness….
…he had so much fun……
…such an action star!……….
